Telegram
On this page the user has the possibility to create new accounts to monitor their devices through TownetDataManager, the Townet Telegram bot.
What is Telegram?
Telegram is a cloud-based instant messaging and broadcasting service provided not for profit by the company Telegram LLC. The App can be downloaded from the AppStore and GooglePlay, while the web platform is accessible from the following site: https://web.telegram.org/
Where can I find the bot?
There are three ways to access the bot.
From the "bots" section, via the "Go to Telegram" button of a new Telegram user created. By doing so, you won't need to go through the next step How to log in?
By clicking here, a similar page will appear:
It is also possible, through the search bar in Telegram, to search for TownetDataManager_bot, as shown in the figure:
How to log in
After the previous procedure, a new chat will appear with a button at the bottom that says start, pressing it the bot will start, asking you for a code that you can find in your account on the web portal. Once the association has been made, the bot will notify you of the success of the operation by replying with a summary message.
Commands
The bot can be controlled via the commands at the bottom of the chat:
Device List
The bot will send a list of up to 10 devices at a time, if the number of devices exceeds that of the small menu, you can browse all your devices using the arrows at the bottom of the list. Clicking on a device, the bot will return the data received from the system in the last 5 minutes, with a graph of the history of the last day, with the possible choice, again using buttons, to display a graph of a different interval or value. In the absence of this data, you will be given the opportunity to view the latest data sent via the "Click here!" button.
Alert
By clicking the "Alert" button, the bot will send the already active error messages of your devices. Furthermore, from the settings it is possible to activate notifications for the different errors that a device can give.
Manual
The bot will send a message containing the link to this guide.
Settings
In this section, it will be possible to change language and notification settings, the latter will be activated by default.
